The King’s Inn Hotel will host the 2008 USS Whipple/USS Langley reunion. The hotel features a variety of guest accommodations that include free parking, lounge, two restaurants and a bar with live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. We will have a hospitality room that will be stocked with snacks and drinks. The cost of the rooms will be $90 per night including tax. This rate is good for 3 days before and after the reunion dates. Please call as soon as possible to reserve your room at 800-785-4647. Tours are being planned and more information will follow, I am not using a reunion planner so we are free to do just about anything and I am seeking suggestions. There are many things to see and do in San Diego, including the world famous zoo, SeaWorld, Hotel Del, harbor cruises with or without dinners and my favorite the USS Midway Museum. We could plan a day trip to Viejas Casino and Outlet Center. Free transportation if we meet certain conditions: Minimum of 35 guests with 80% getting a V-Club member card and using them to gamble. I have been to the outlet many times; it is a very enjoyable center. I will have a limited number of USS Midway Museum guest passes; the Midway museum is a very unique experience. Tickets for the Midway are $15 (adult), $10 (62+ or Military ID, active or retired) and youth $8.
